PPC - July 2017

Darryll Castle is stepping down as CEO of PPC. Johan Claasen, managing director, has stepped into the role as an interim measure. Mr Castle has said he is leaving to pursue other interests but will be available to the company for six months to ensure a smooth handover to his successor. 

The announcement comes just one month after the company reported a 93 per cent drop in full-year earnings due to a liquidity crisis following PPC’s credit rating being slashed to junk status.
