March saw domestic consumption improve by 3.4 per cent YoY to 5.21Mt, supported by strong demand in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Indonesia’s exports also grew, surging by nearly 80 per cent YoY in the 1Q18 to 701,63-t, versus 390,728t in the 1Q17. Government spending on infrastructure development is expected to remain strong in 2018 and 2019, fuelling cement demand going forward.
