Cementos Argos - August 2018
In the second quarter of 2018, Cementos Argos reported a 1.4 per cent increase in revenue YoY to COP2.184trn (US$726bn). EBITDA over the same period fell 11.2 per cent to COP328bn, on the back of the US$24m fine imposed by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce in Colombia, while adjusted EBITDA, excluding the fine, reached COP404bn, up 5.9 per cent YoY. The quarter saw cement volumes advance by 0.9 per cent YoY to 4.205Mt, while ready-mixed cement (RMC) volumes improved by one per cent to 2.747Mm3.
