Cementos Argos - January 2019
Cementos Argos has supplied 22,978m3 of concrete, equivalent to around 400 mixer trucks, to the La Zurza wastewater treatment plant in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
The plant, which will be the largest in the Caribbean, will have a capacity of 27m gallons/second of treated water being returned to the river flow. The project will not only benefit up to 500,000 inhabitants from 37 sectors of the National District and the province of Santo Domingo, it will also aid the Ozama and Isabela Rivers, which are seen as essential to the promotion of the city as a tourist destination.
The first stage of the project is reportedly completed and due to begin operating in the 1H19.
