cyclone 2 blockage

we have been experiencing frequent blockages of cyclone no 2 of the kiln. the builduo tends to form just above the cone and collapses and blocks the material chute...often resulting in kiln stoppage. we have seen elavated air temps from this cyclone 650degC and 430degC for Cyclone 1 respectively. s/a ratio of Cyaclone 2 material is around 1.2-1.3. chlorides are very low. what could the cause of this problem be? possible ways out of this? the kiln tube is quite clear with minimal coating

Re: cyclone 2 blockage

our kiln is 4stage calciner. The draft has remained stable across all cyclones with c1 at 56mb. we do not have material temp measurement for cyclones 1 to 3 but for cyclone 4 has been between 780 and 810degC. calcination for c4 material is approx 85%. initially we thought we are blocking because of very high temps in c2, but we checked calcination, its barely at 20%. We are checking on our sulpahtes, chlorides alkalis nothing seems to have suddenly changed in the recent past

Re: cyclone 2 blockage

Please provide the analysis of coating sample found during cleaning. I think that it is not due to over calcination, but due to layer wise coating formation of high silica material near kiln feed point of riser duct.
