How to increase C3S in clinker

Dear all

Our clinker designed with SR 2.5, LS 95.5. C3S according to calculation is arround 58%. If we wan to increase C3S upt to 62%, can we reduce SR and increase LS a bit without mineralization? Are there any problem with kiln operation and cement quality?

Anybody can share with me about this idea.

With your case there are more than LS And SR :-

1- Raw meal particle size and mixture ( homogenize )

2- Burning zone Temp, and burning time

3- Cooling ( Rapid cooling ) ( Cooler type )

4- Flame ( wide , long slim )

5- Fuel type

Check all that factors and you can back to me or to any body else to help with that by the way i forget to ask how much Free lime in your clinker %

Hello ILA

At the movement, our clinker is acceptable but we wan to increase its quality by increase C3S.

  • RM particle size: R200<1.5%, R90 <15%, well homogenise, stdev <1.0
  • Burning temp ~ 1400oC
  • Grate cooler. Cooling rate is good based on microscopy.
  • Flame: quite long flame. We are adjusting the flame to be shorter and stronger.
  • Fuel: 3b coal. Will be replaced by 3c coal in near future.
  • Freelime is controlled around 1.0-1.5%

My expectation is to keep the same kiln burning condition (temp, flame...) and adjust material a little bit.

Can you please share me your idea with thanks.
