Hello xxxx,

Have you checked how much dust there is in the tertiary air, K4 mill air and extra duct air?

As a first approximation, I would assume there is at least the same dust concentration in the secondary air as in these other air streams. The total amount of clinker cycling back from the cooler to the kiln might reach from 3 % to 10% or even more. I think this might perturb your heat and solids balance quite a lot.

It is likely that you could adjust your excel spreadsheet easily to take this dust cycle into account. However, it will be almost impossible to measure how much dust goes with the secondary air!

please send me yr id because i am not able to upload the file normally i make a air balance fro cooler only & find out the air going to SA by the diffrence from input kg to output kg air. pl. reply & suggest a better method if any? xxxxx

I've just read your excel file, but i want to ask you about your calculating of HEAT INPUT. Pls help me to understand detail your method in this file. Now i want to calculate heatbalance sheet in my plant, i had an other but it from supplier.And can you explain to me how important of heatbalance in optimising Kiln, burner, cooler ( my plant has capacity of clinker 5500 tpd).
