PROBLEM OF KILN CHAIR PAD

Dear All,

we are changing existing welded design chair pad by floating chair pads. After removing old chair pads we had found some warppage on kiln shell surface, maximum to 16 mm below bottom surface of chair pad and above kiln shell surface for around 60% of circumference surface (16 chair pad out of 24 in total). We are building up this gap portion by welding. This welding is done in longitudinal strips of 1 inch width and leaving a gap of 1 inch between two strips.

This chair pad has got provision by locking retainer blocks on all four directions.

WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FROM YOU ALL THAT  WEATHER THIS STRIP-WELD  IS SUFFECIENT OR WE SHOULD DO FULL-BUILD-UP OF GAP BY FULL-WELDING
