Tyre burning in the pyro system

Dear Sir,

Kindly share your opinion or experience about the preffered location for inserting the whole or half cut tyres into the kiln/preheater section as we are planning to test the used tyres of the light vehicles as alternative fuel.

Regards

Hello

tyres can burn into kiln from kiln inlet

Full tyres or chipped tyre feed into kiln from kiln inlet riser duct.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply. I think inserting the tyre from the kiln inlet will give indication of high inlet temperature as recorded by inlet thermocouple and it will increase the coating formation in kiln riser and sometimes may result in CO formation also.

Dear kumar,

Yes combustion of tyres give peak of  CO before complete burn out .

But if you want burn out inside  kiln than feed into kiln. As its passing with kiln feed and burning is going on . So  it is trail and monitoring on kiln inlet slope jamming and ring formation in calcination zone with LV of tyres combustion without shredding  process.

  Thank for sharing technological approaches.

  With regards

 gks
