Thanks to efforts made by Vinaconex and Cam Pha Cement, the first contract to export cement to the African market was signed in January 2009, said a Vinaconex executive.
Together with domestic consumption, Cam Pha Cement is also working with other markets in Europe, the Middle East and South America.
The company has signed contracts with Pionaire Finance Co. Ltd to export 40,000t per month to South Africa, and with Universal Best Services LLC to ship clinker and cement to the US and South America.
