Vinaconex starts exports to Mozambique
Cam Pha Cement JSC, an affiliate of the Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex), shipped its first 12,500t of cement to Mozambique on March 25.
Thanks to efforts made by Vinaconex and Cam Pha Cement, the first contract to export cement to the African market was signed in January 2009, said a Vinaconex executive.
Together with domestic consumption, Cam Pha Cement is also working with other markets in Europe, the Middle East and South America.
The company has signed contracts with Pionaire Finance Co. Ltd to export 40,000t per month to South Africa, and with Universal Best Services LLC to ship clinker and cement to the US and South America.
