Contrary to the Federal Government of Nigeria’s earlier stand that it would not allow importation of bagged cement, it has thrown its gate open for the importation of 50kg bagged cement.

The government’s move is against the backdrop of high prices of the commodity in the country despite the freedom earlier given to importers of bulk cement.

Minster of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Charles Ugwu, made the disclosure in a press statement issued in Abuja.
