Cimpor to invest about EUR16m in two new 5500t capacity cement ships

Cimpor’s Cimpship shipping unit plans to invest about EUR16m in two new ships with the capacity to transport about 5500t of cement each, a company official said.  
 
The source noted that the acquisitions should be completed in the near future and should boost Cimship’s fleet of two large own ships and seven leased smaller ones.  
 
Cimpor currently has a fleet which can transport 1.4Mt at any one time; 40 per cent of this capacity is owned by the company.
