After witnessing a slight fall in prices during the past few weeks owing to sluggish demand, Indian cement companies have increased ex-factory cement prices by Rs 10 to Rs 12 per bag in India’s northern region.

The average ex-factory cement prices now stand between Rs 236 and Rs 238 per bag. Before this increase, prices averaged between Rs 226 to Rs 228 per bag, according to JS Research. According to cement company officials, further rise is expected in the following weeks as demand is expected to pick up
next month.
