Yantai City in Shandong Province exported 748,000t of cement to Angola in the first ten months of the year, rising by 2.2 times year-on-year, according to statistics from Yantai Customs. Exports to the USA stood at 622,000t, down by 20.7% YoY, while exports to Spain increased by 66.7% to 608,000t. Starting on July 1st, 2007, China further strengthened the control of cement exports and abolished the cement export rebates. Due to this, Yantai City’s cement exports dropped by 5.1% between July and October.
