Xinjiang’s cement exports rise
08 June 2007

Xinjiang Hui Autonomous Region exported 2,308t of cement through Baketu Port in May 2007 as of May 23rd, totaling US$ 141,000, up 21 and 12.2 times year-on-year respectively. Xinjiang’s cement recorded overcapacity, while Kazakhstan showed huge demand for cement. China’s cement is still enjoying an 11% export tax rebate. All of these factors were major contributors to the significant increase in cement exports, announced sources from relevant Customs Departments.  Published under Cement News
