Cement company’s MoM dispatches disrupted in India due to monsoons
05 September 2006

Indian cement companies came out with their monthly dispatches. These figures assumed significance because this was perhaps the only year where prices sustained high levels even during the monsoon, reports CNBC-TV18.

The monsoons are believed to be the reason for the disruption in the MoM figures for most cement companies.

For ACC, August dispatches stand at 1.35Mt. The dispatches are up 3.45% YoY and down 4.93 per cent MoM. Their capacity utilisation stands at 79.4%.

For GACL, August dispatches stand at 0.976Mt. The dispatches are down 0.5% YoY and down 4.22% MoM. Their capacity utilisation stands at 88.1%.

For AV Birla group, August dispatches stand at 2.33Mt. The dispatches are up 4.9% YoY and up 9.9% MoM.
