The nation’s cement industry produced 18.8Mt of cement in the first seven months of the year, said the Ministry of
Construction. Domestic cement makers have a combined annual production capacity of 32Mt of cement, meeting 85 per cent of domestic demand, said the Vietnam Cement Association. The industry expected to be able to meet 100 per cent of local demand by the end of 2009. - VNS
