Carib Cement temporary halt on bagged sales
Caribbean Cement has announced the temporary suspension of bagged cement sales. In a statement, the company said the sales have been suspended pending the approval by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) for cement packaged since Saturday.
The company said bagged cement sales have been minimal since last Friday, however, it has been providing bulk cement to the trade. Carib Cement said the BSJ has indicated that test results will be released Wednesday morning.
The company says when it receives information from the BSJ, it will notify its customers when regular sales will resume.
