Given the existing potentials of the country and the number of the projects credited by Bank Sepah, Iran’s cement production by the end of the Fourth Five-Year Socioeconomic Development Plan is expected to hit 75Mt by about 2020. The bank’s own share of the production is planned to be about 20,544,000t or 27.5 per cent of the total production, IRNA quoted an official in Bank Sepah as saying.

In line with the government objectives outlined in the third and fourth development plans, Bank Sepah has allocated US$330m for development of new cement production plants in the country, Abbas Shahriari commented.

The total cement producing plants funded and completed by the bank in the recent years amount to 13 projects capable of producing about 11,804,000 tons which is equal to 27.6 per cent of the target projects, he also explained.
