Cement prices in India’s western state of Maharashtra, the country’s biggest construction market, is set rise by 1.7 per cent from Tuesday, on the back of strong demand from home builders, a trade official told Reuters."The demand is strong and the market should be able to absorb the price hike," the official, who declined to be identified, said. He said the retail trade prices for a 50kg bag will go up to about 183 rupees per bag, after the increase.  Published under Cement News
