The Indian Ramco group has set up a facility to manufacture fibre cement sheets at Kharagpur in West Bengal. The facility has the capacity to produce 80,000t of fibre cement sheets and 200,000t of cement. The group has interests in textiles, cement, building products and software. Ramco is planning to set up another cement grinding facility with a capacity of 1Mt in West Bengal at a cost of Rs50-60 crore. The group is also setting up two fibre cement sheets plants with capacity of 80,000 tonnes each at Bhuj in Gujarat and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
