Kuwait Cement to export 20,000t
14 February 2005

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Trade and Industry has allowed the local cement maker Kuwait Cement Company to export some 20,000t of cement over a six-month period, it was reported on February 10, 2005.  The ministerial decree allowing the exports was issued on conditions that the move would not affect the supply on the local market and followed a request by Kuwait Cement.  The export permission to Kuwait Cement is the first of its kind since the Ministry of Trade and Industry imposed a ban on cement exports on March 29, 2004.
