Cement output in Mexico increased 4.35 per cent in 2004 from a year earlier as producers increased production to meet rising demand from government infrastructure projects and house building. Cement output, according to figures released on Tuesday by the National Cement Chamber, matched the country’s economic growth. Central Bank chief Guillermo Ortiz said on Monday the economy expanded 4.2 percent in 2004.
