Hans Bauer, CEO of German cement producer Heidelberg Cement, will step down from his post as of January 31, 2005, it was reported on January 19, 2005.  Bauer, 60, is resigning due to his age and will retire, the company said. Bauer’s contract was initially fixed until the end of 2007. It is his wish that it be terminated earlier, Heidelberg Cement added.  The company’s supervisory board will hold an extraordinary meeting on January 22, 2005 to determine who will succeed Bauer.  Published under Cement News
