Taiwan Far Eastern Group will inject US$250m in construction of a 4Mta cement factory in Sichuan Province, according to Douglas Tong Hsu, chairman and CEO of the group, who was in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan. The investment by Asia Cement Company affiliated to the group in Sichuan indicates the group’s confidence in the investment environment in the province, said Hsu, adding that the group plans to introduce its Far Eastern Department Store into Chengdu.
