Shenzhen-listed Datong Cement Co has reported earnings per share of 0.025 yuan for the first half of 2004 ended June 30, up from the 0.02 yuan for the same period of 2003. The company¡&hibar;s net profits before deduction of non- current gains and losses in the first half of 2004 reached 4.3153 million yuan, as compared with 3.425 million yuan for the same period of 2003. Its main operating turnover in the
first half of 2004 stood at 82.7559 million yuan, up from 59.9905 million yuan in the same period of 2003. The company posted return on net assets of 1.4 percent for the first half of 2004, up from 1.4 percent in the same period of 2003. Its adjusted net assets per share were 1.678 yuan at the end of June 2004, up from 1.694 yuan at the end of 2003.
