Grasim July cement despatch up

Grasim Industries has reported increased shipments, year-on-year, for both Grasim Cement as well as for its recent acquisition UltraTech Cemco Ltd, for the month of July.  Despatches at Grasim Cement moved up 12.54 per cent from the year-ago despatch quantity, amounting to 1.137Mt. Production increased 14.36 per cent to 1.161Mt. Figures for Grasim are inclusive of Shri Digvijay Cement company and that for UltraTech, of Narmada Cement Company Ltd.

Despatches at UtraTech increased 9.8 per cent, to 900,000t. UtraTech’s export of clinker, at 110,000t, was up by 22 per cent from the July figures of last year.
