Nirma plans to set up cement unit

In an expansion exercise, Nirma Limited, India has decided to set up a cement manufacturing project with a capacity of producing 1.2Mta at an estimated outlay of Rs 400 crore. Besides, the company also plans to set up coke manufacturing unit having capacity of 1.5 lakh tonnes per annum and a 30 mw captive power plant at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore. These projects will be set up in Gujarat state in an estimated period of 30 months.
