Vietnam: The Midland Construction Corporation (COSEVCO) has registered to invest nearly 100 billion VND (about US$6.3m) in building a cement factory (grinding plant?) in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang. The 300,000t capacity plant will be built on an area of 14 hectares in the Song Hau Industrial Park (IP).  This was the first project to be registered for investment in the IP since it was re-organised some months ago. The factory with an annual capacity of 100,000t will be built in three phases. The first will be completed this year with a 50,000t capacity factory while the second to finish in 2005 and the third by 2006. (Local Vietnamese news report).
