22 June 2012

Loesche has received new contracts for two plants in Africa, one of which is for a new clinker line and the other involves increasing capacity at an existing plant.

At the new Masse cement plant of Nouvelle Cimenterie du Benin, a 3600tpd clinker line is being planned. The site is located in Benin, approximately 8km north of the capital, Porto Novo.

For this new plant, a Loesche Mill Type LM 56.4 with a capacity of 320tph raw material grinding with a fineness of 12% R90 will be put into operation. The mill will be designed to grind a material with a maximum feed material moisture of 21%. The mill motor is designed for a capacity of 3000kW. Commissioning is scheduled for 2013.

Meanwhile, in Algeria, Societé des Ciments de Zahana is significantly increasing capacity of its Zahana cement plant. By replacing the existing mill with a Loesche Mill Type LM 48.4, a capacity of 425tph raw material with a fineness of 14% R90 can be achieved. The mill motor is designed for a capacity of 2400kW.

In addition to the Loesche vertical roller mill, Loesche will also deliver a hot gas generator LOMA Type LF36 and all the required spare parts.

Delivery of the equipment is planned in 12 months, while commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2013.
