Askale Cimento Sanayii TAS is currently building a new 4000tpd clinker production line in Gümüshane, located about 100km south of Trabzon near the Black Sea, Turkey.  Ankara-based Sintek Mining Machinery Industry Construction is handling the entire project execution and on-site coordination of the project.

Two Loesche vertical roller mills will grind raw materials and coal while more recently, the German company signed the contract for the supply of one LM 56.3+3 mill to grind cement with production rates of up to 230tph and finesses of up to 4600cm2/g according to Blaine.

The LM 56.3+3 will produce at least four different cement types, ranging from a standard OPC cement to various types of composite cements.

Key factors in deciding to opt for Loesche mills were the mill manufacturer’s advanced technology which ensures excellent product quality of the cement produced and the very low energy consumption of the complete grinding plant. In addition, Loesche’s compact plant design, which eliminates the necessity for a large, expensive mill building and hence, results in savings in plot size, structural steel and civil works costs as well as erection time.
