Cement production in Venezuela reached 2.45Mt in the first four months of 2013 – a sign of the sector’s stability, according to official sources.

The Ministry of Industries stated 8.4Mt of cement were produced between April 2012-April 2013 in the country’s 10 cement plants, which have a combined capacity of 8.8Mta.

The white cement plant in Lara is currently undergoing major repairs and a change of refractory material.
