Ahangarancement increases 1H13 output and shipments, Uzbekistan

Ahangarancement, part of the Eurocement Group of Russia, produced 565,200t of clinker and 739,500t of cement in the first half of 2013, representing a YoY rise of 12.8 per cent and 1.4 per cent.

Shipments increased by 3.8 per cent YoY to 754,664t.

The company said that Portland slag cement and OPC cement sales are the highest among its consumers, representing 66.4 per cent of shipments.

Ahangarancement also recorded a growth packed cement. In the first quarter of 2013, it shipped 159,600t of cement in 50kg bags.

The company holds around a 27 per cent stake in the Uzbekistan market and currently operates one cement plant with a capacity of 1.736Mta which will be raised this year.
