Iran produced 50.2Mt of cement in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, representing a 2.2 per cent YoY rise.
In the eighth calendar month of Aban (ended November 21), output amounted to 5.65Mt.
Some 39.8Mt of cement were supplied to the domestic market in the eight-month period.
The cement output is projected to reach 80Mt by the end of the year, the secretary of Iranian cement industry employers Abdolreza Sheikhan has said.
