Peru: cement market expands 7.15% in 2013

Cement deliveries in Peru reached 10,256,359t in 2013, up 7.15 per cent YoY when compared with the 9,571,920t dispatched in 2012, according to Peru’s cement association, Asocem.

However, when annual growth is considered, the latest market expansion is significantly down on the previous figure, which saw growth of 15.41 per cent.

Cement production reached 10,526,582t, an increase of 6.9% when compared with 2012, when Peru’s cement producers manufactured 9,847,026t.

Exports rose 11.22% to 222,975t from 200,485t in 2012.
