CMS awards contract for new grinding plant

Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd's (CMSB) has contracted Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik GmbH to design and build its new cement grinding plant in Mambong, Sarawak.

CMSB said its cement division had on Monday signed the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with the German company, according to reports by The Star.

Construction of the 1Mta grinding plant is expected to begin in July 2014. The facility includes a ball mill, high efficiency separator and two 10,000t concrete silos complete with a 3000 bag/hour packing machine.
