PT Semen Indonesia is seeking loans worth IDR2.2-3.1trn (US$178m-251m) to build a new cement factory in Aceh province, at the northern end of Sumatra, Kontan newspaper reported citing Finance Director Ahyanizzaman.
The new facility is expected to have a capacity of around 3Mta to meet increasing consumption in Aceh, Medan, Dumai and Riau. Construction is slated to begin in the first half of 2015.
