Dalmia Cement plans new 2Mta plant

India’s Dalmia Cement is planning to set up a new 2Mta grinding plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand, according to the state’s government. The company is expected to invest INR5.77bn (US$77.14m) in the construction of the plant, with work scheduled to begin this month and set to be completed within a year.

Huaxin Cement Narayani is expected to start cement production within two months following the completion of the cement works in the central Dhading district of Nepal, according to Xinhua. The China-Nepal joint venture has a cement capacity of 3000tpd. Construction began in 2019, but the completion of the project was delayed by floods, disputes over land acquisition and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Iraq to see new US$250m cement project

Russia’s Atomstroykompleks has launched its Atom Cement plant in Sysert, Sverdlovsk region, which has been designed with 550,000tpa of white cement capacity.
