China’s CNPC has reportedly started construction of a US$200m plant in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region. The facility is expected to produce 2.5Mta of cement.

CNPC has already imported more than 40 machines and equipment worth US$16.7m into Uzbekistan for the project.
