Cambodia’s Conch KT Cement (Phnom Penh) plans to build a US$263m cement factory in Aoral, Kampong Speu province, with a 2Mta capacity, according to the Phnom Penh Post. Conch KT Cement is a joint venture between China’s Conch International Holding (HK) Ltd and Battambang KT Cement. Togo's new 2.5Mta plant to open next September

CimMetal has provided an update for its 2.5Mta new plant project in Togo. Preliminary works related to construction are now 65 per cent complete and the plant is expected to open in September 2022. The company is set to invest XOF65bn (US$118.26m) in the project, while CimCo also received XOF25bn of funding from the West African Development Bank.

Lemi National Cement Industrial Complex, a new private industrial park, is set to be built in the Amhara region of Ethiopia by private investors, according to The Swazi Observer. Ramco Cements sees 4% rise in revenue

India’s Ramco Cements has reported a four per cent YoY rise in revenue from operations to INR13.24bn (US$181.55m) for the December 2020 quarter. Gross earnings advanced 91 per cent YoY to INR4.03bn. However, cement sales declined 7.1 per cent to 2.6Mt from 2.8Mt in the 3QFY19-20.
