Loesche installation at Elmadag works, Turkey

Loesche is now starting to install a 260tph raw meal mill at Bastas Baskent Cimento’s Elmadag cement works in Turkey, after a delivery time of just 10 months. Bastas Baskent Cimento is part of the Vicat group of France.

The Loesche LM 45.4 raw meal mill, ordered by Vicat Service Technique Ciment in May 2014 for
raw meal cement grinding, has already been delivered by Loesche.

The German equipment supplier has previously equipped vertical roller grinding mills for the Elmadag factory as well as for Konya Cimento's cement plant in Turkey, which is also part of the Vicat group.

The Loesche vertical roller mill LM 45.4 will grind cement raw meal at a product fineness of 16 per cent R90μm. The installed drive power is 2100kW.

The scope of supply also includes weighfeeders, apron feeders, magnetic separators, metal detectors, shut-off and control flaps, vibrating conveyors, a bucket elevator and expansion joints.

With the acquisition of another LM 45.4 raw meal mill, the supply of spare parts is reduced to a minimum, since the same spare parts may be used for all mills of the same type.

The commissioning of the new LM 45.4 at Elmadag is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015.
