At the beginning of 2015, CESA – Cement Engineering SA – was awarded the contract for full engineering consultancy, construction and commissioning supervision for a new plant to be built in Algeria by CEVITAL Minerals.

The greenfield facility, with a clinker capacity of 4Mta, will be situated in El Khroub, near the city of Constantine in northeastern Algeria.
 
The role of Cement Engineering SA as the owners engineer covers the raw materials and quarry investigations, basic design of the plant as well as the tendering, contract negotiations, execution documents review, the equipment fabrication and works control, supervision of commissioning and  performance tests.
 
On completion, this project will prove to be one of the largest cement plants in Africa.
