In the first four months of the Iranian calendar year around 5.167Mt of cement was exported, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) quoted Abdolreza Sheikhan, Secretary of the Iranian Cement Industry Employers, as saying.

Cement production in the four-month period totaled 20.889Mt. In the fourth month (starting 23 July 2015) of the year output reached 5.262Mt, of which 653,999t was exported, Sheikhan added.

Iran exports cement to some two dozen countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the UAE, Georgia, Oman, India, and China.
