Chinese cement producer Huaxin Cement plans to invest US$150m in the construction of a cement plant in Aktobe region of Kazakhstan.
Construction of the dry-process cement works, to be located in the village of Priozernoye in Kargaly district, is scheduled to start in 2016, according to local press reports/
On Wednesday Regional Governor Berdibek Saparbayev met representatives of the Chinese corporation. It is expected that a cooperation agreement between the regional administration and Huaxin Cement will be signed during the international investment forum Aktobeinvest-2015 scheduled for November.
