Cement demand in Spain fell by 2.4 per cent in October 2015 to 1.025Mtt, or 23,716 below the October 2014 level. In the first 10 months of 2015, domestic cement consumption increased 4.3 per cent YoY to 9.56Mt.

"The latest data is a significant setback for our industry, which has seen the growth rate of 8.6 per cent noted in the first half year halve in just four months, " said the CEO of Oficemen, Aniceto Zaragoza.
