Cement sales in Switzerland fell 4.2 per cent QoQ in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to domestic cement producers’ association, Cemsuisse.

For the full year, deliveries decreased by 7.9 per cent YoY to 4.219Mt. The low-carbon cement segment, particularly CEM II, saw a rise of 90 per cent. In 1995, its market share was limited to six per cent.

In terms of transport, 51.1 per cent of dispatches took place via rail.
