Pakistan: Fauji Cement begins silo repair
13 June 2016

The repair of damaged raw meal silo and the coal mill area of Line 2 (which has a production capacity of 2.38Mt), of Fauji Cement Ltd’s (FCCL), would take 3-6 months at cost of PKR1.3bn (US$19.38m), says experts monitoring the mishap.
After meeting with different accident assessment experts, it is believed that the required time to rehabilitate damaged structure would take 3 -6 months (following assessment from the insurers), because the base was not damaged severely.

It was on the eve of 29 May 2016 that Fauji Cement’s raw meal silo incurred a major breakdown at Jhang Bahtar, Tehsil Fateh Jang, Attock, Punjab province.
