Vietnam produced 33.6Mt of cement in the first five months of this year, up 8.1 per cent from a year earlier, including 7.7Mt in May, up 12.1 per cent, according to latest data of the government-run General Statistics Office.
In the first four months, Vietnamese cement producers manufactured 25.9Mt of cement, according to the office’s revised figure. In 2016 they produced 78.6Mt of cement, including 7.3Mt in December, according to the revised figure. (Source: Vietnam News Brief Service)
