Cement prices in Cuba rose substantially at the end of last week with a bag of P350 cement now priced at CUP165, up from CUP112, at retail level.

Lower-grade cement has increased in price from CUP89 to CUP109.20/bag.

The price rise has affected many Cubans who are repairing or building homes.
