Cement consumption in the Dominican Republic fell by two per cent to 2,089,935t in the first half of 2017, according to the country’s cement association, Adocem. In 1H16 demand reached 2,132,312t.
Local cement sales increased 5.5 per cent in value to RDS8.516bn.
Output rose 0.5 per cent from 2,599,031t in 1H16 to 2,612,099t in 1H17. Between April and June, around 17.6 per cent of production was exported.
